FINDING A CHURCH TO CALL “HOME” CAN BE A CHALLENGE
Why?
SEEKERS: feel uneasy about "just showing up," struggle with shame, or feel out of place
CHURCHES:
desire to engage in a meaningful way with Seekers who suffer from trauma, want to improve their outreach strategies, and aim to foster a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors
FAITH-BASED MINISTRY WORKERS:
meet Seekers in need of a “home” church and need assistance in directing them to congregations. Sadly, Seekers often return disappointed about a first-time church experience and ask for further direction.
Can You Help? WE NEED ANCHOR FAMILIES TO HELP MAKE CHURCH “HOME” POSSIBLE
How? Anchor Families will receive information about a seeker, make initial contact outside of church, inform them of service times and attendance options, be there to greet them, make them feel welcome, and have an opportunity to make a difference in a first Church visit AND in someone’s life!
